This item will vary slightly, and while you may not receive the exact leg shown, they are all articulated in a similar way. Some bones may have natural damage or abnormalities that the deer got through injury, arthritis, or osteoporosis; this can change the structure of the bone growth or repair to be able to support the animal; therefore, some may stand a lot differently. 
You can mount these to a stand of your choosing to offer more support. These won't be able to stand alone without support.
